Taare Zameen Par

Hats off to Amir Khan for again delivering a quality product and for me,an answer to the 2007's equally good movie 'Chak De'.But the credit should be given to Tare... for striking the right note with such a sensuous but difficult subject. So beautiful was the portrayal of emotions in this movie that can leave, even the not-so-soft-hearted ones, spell-bound. I guess almost all the women crowd gathered in the hall was sobering :).
And not to mention, amazing timing of all the songs...Simply Superb. All the actors fit well in their roles and i am sure they can give anyone a run for their money. Especially Tisca Chopra, stupendous performance!!!. I guess she was the emotional fulcrum of the movie, since she was a character which is emotionally very attached with Darsheel(the kid).
In the end a very sweet movie for everyone.

Barca Barca!!!

My cultivation of interest in Football is a long story. As a kid, i used to test my newly-brought shoes to some gruelling sessions of Football-with-something-you-can-kick :). That's something you can play with a variety of things varying from a TT-ball to a football. However, ths game tests not only your footballing skills but you grit and will-power to stand against Dhool-Mitii.

Then i had some good rendezvous when i was in college. Playing with three versions of Fifa(2004,2005,2006) i gained enough experience to determine that Barcelona is a team with which i can beat someone like Desi in a multiplayer game. 4-1-2-1-2 gives you a lot more option to attack, well atleast in the computer game. I also used to break my legs in playing field.

Well, i can say Barcelona as a team is not that bad either. Add to it Nou Camp and it's atmosphere, its a place to be. How will is visit ther, that's a big question!... But neways an ardent fan of Barca. I hope this weekend Barca proves it's metal against Real Madrid, the EL Clasico and wins Champions and Spanish Primera. Again hope to visit Barca when the likes of Ronaldinho, Messi, Henry, Eto'o, Puyol are still in place. Remember Red, Hope is a good thing...
Cmon Barca!!

Mozilla FireFox: Pushing Browsing to the next level

Hi,
One of my favorite activities, browsing. Be it time-pass or some information gathering or any minuscule thing that i need i look upon it.
And for that i sincerely thank Mozilla Firefox(and wikipedia too). And definitely all Firefox users will agree with me.
It has made the whole browsing experience to reach next level, time and again. I roughly started using this browser aroung 2.5 years ago and soon i started hating internet explorer. Even though they have provided tab functionality, still Firefox is way ahead always and i hope it remains so. I remember i continously went to cyber-cafe for sometime, i used to download Firefox setup and install before browsing. And there is reason, firefox is much faster and you can browse much pages in a given time compared to internet exp.
Yesterday i gave it's setup to my colleague, Joel Anthony and as i expected, he being into serious time-pass and browsing stuff liked it too much. TAbs, Themes, Cooloris, toolbar, piclens and other addons they all are gr8.
Some recent addition that i just noticed
1) While searching in google toolbar you will get suggestions at runtime.
2) RSS- feeds
3) Cooliris
4) Piclens
And if you are not using firefox, you are really missing something.

Live Free or Die Hard

I went to see this movie, Die Hard-4. The reason i spent Rs.170 on this was ofcourse accolades that it has received. I was satisfied by the movie but still it didnt vasooled Rs.170 (probably no movie ever will).

The movie depicts a theme of time when almost every basic needs in America is controlled, monitored or is dependent upon software(Traffic,Power,Gas,electricity, telephone, satellites too!!! and most importantly money, funds). Now a good-guy turns bad-guy and tries to hack-n-crack all the systems and attempts to guide america back to stone age. But he forgot that we have a hero Bruce Willis who has already done something like that and all that...hehe. Now, Bruce along with a computer-whizkid (who along with some other guys developed an algorithm that can crack the system i.e. "firesale") tries to avert this.
Now the question arises who wants to do it and how?. Gabriel (Timothy Olyphant), a nice guy earlier tries to prove that the software system post 9/11 that controls major utilities is vulnerable. He tries to prove this by personally hacking into the system. However, authorities got angered with this and conspired to bring him down and ruined his reputation. Embittered, he along with some hackers again cracks into the software and creates havoc. At last, he aims at destroying financial backup stored at a NSA(National Security Headquarters) storage facility. Farrell(the whizkid Bruce is with) sets out to re-route the system while Bruce is trying to save his captivated daughter.
Movie's USP is ofcourse it's action scenes. Both innovative and enthralling. Especially, the Helicopter scene and Fighter Plane one. Worth Watching...
